- BioCatalogue: providing a curated catalogue of Life Science Web Services. http://biocatalogue.org/ BioCatalogue will provide a single registration point for Web Service providers and a single search site for scientists and developers. It will also act as a place where the community can find contacts and meet the experts and maintainers of these services. BioCatalogue is a BBSRC funded project and has been running since 1st June 2008. The project is a joint venture between the EMBL-EBI (led by Rodrigo Lopez) and the myGrid project at the University of Manchester (led by Carole Goble).
- Obesity eLab http://www.obesityelab.org.uk eLab - a unique, secure environment for producing, sharing, communicating and finding obesity research between epidemiologists, public health researchers and social scientists. This ESRC project is a node of the National Centre for e-Social Science and is led by Iain Buchan at University of Manchester.
- NEMA: Networked Environment for Music Analysis. http://nema.lis.uiuc.edu/ - the NEMA team aims to create an open and extensible webservice-based resource framework that facilitates the integration of music data and analytic/evaluative tools that can be used by the global music information retrieval research and education communities on a basis independent of time or location. In cooperation with the Software Environment for the Advancement of Scholarly Research (SEASR) project. Led by Stephen Downie at UIUC.
