Roadmap

From myExperiment

Here are the forthcoming features. We review our development plan weekly and always welcome feature requests from our users. Many of our requirements come from our Related Projects.

A new roadmap will be published at the end of July 2011 when we have completed a review of the requirements of related projects. In particular, the myExperiment team is now working closely with members of the Wf4Ever digital preservation project.

  • Pack relationships will allow you to express the relationship between pack items (this is the Research Object use case discussed in myExperiment presentations). Initially the controlled vocabulary for the relationships will be controlled by the administrator. Relationships will also appear in the RDF representation of packs.
  • Galaxy integration means users of the Galaxy workflow system will have access to myExperiment functionality through a slimmed-down myExperiment interface in the Galaxy environment.
  • Service information about public Web Services will be accessible from the myExperiment pages. For Life Sciences services this information will come from BioCatalogue. This is part of the ongoing myExperiment-BioCatalogue integration.
  • Topics browsing functionality will be provided thanks to contributed code by colleagues at UPenn. This has been tested and is being integrated.
  • Curation support has been investigated through tagging and we will be making this more explicit in the interface.
  • OAI PMH support is being tested with the EPrints team
  • Other features include report as spam button!
